Simons Story
I was born in the North Midlands to an Italian father and an English mother who both cooked at home and I always joined in with meal preparation from preschool age. I enjoyed good food and soon cooked for myself at every opportunity, experimenting with different ingredients and flavours, not always successfully.
I got my first catering job at age 14 and was the manager of a hotel in Guildford by the age of 20. As I was younger than most of the staff I managed, I always made sure that I could do everyone's job and would work on my kitchen skills in the early hours of the morning after I locked up the hotel. I went on to own my first hotel business at age 21. Although I escaped the hospitality trade for 20 years and built an independent financial business, food was always a big part of our holidays and home life until I was eventually tempted to buy the Olive Tree Restaurant.
When I am not cooking I can usually be found at a live music event or festival.

TAPAS EVENING
Every Thursday - during the summer period Tapas will not be available, but will continue in Autumn.
Ongoing Mediterranean food throughout the evening for only £27.50 per person, including dessert.
Vegetarian options available.
A reduced menu is also available for those just wanting a meal on Thursday evenings.
